Flex 4 Fun: Final Post(PrePrint)

As promised, the eBook of Flex 4 Fun has been updated to the final version of the text, which was uploaded for printing last week. So if you bought the eBook already, a fresh download will give you the final bits.

If you didn't buy the eBook version already, what are you waiting for? Oh, you want the hardcopy version so that you can enjoy its graphical goodness in the way that Gutenberg intended? Well, you'll still have to wait a bit for that. Even now, armies of typesetters are setting up printing presses to make a run at printing the tome. Look for the book in bookstores and online in mid-September.

Worth buying for an AS3 guru who doesn't work with Flex much but tries to be in touch with everything around flash/flex?

@valyard: Probably depends on what your interest is in the platform. This book goes deep on graphics, and animation, and other UI goodness in Flex 4. You can check out the sample Graphics chapter on the book site, and also the sample apps and code, to see if it's stuff you're interested in.

Is there any chance to buy somewhere an e-book? I found this option only on artima website, but there isn't PayPal payment :(

@wawka: The ebook on the artima.com site is the only option for an online version for now (we're looking into other options eventually). I've forwarded your request for paypal to the publisher...

@wawka: Apparently, paypal is already on the list of future features for the book site. In the meantime, if you want to pursue this, the publisher can handle it on an individual basis: contact them at webmaster AT artima.com.
